Q. Does it fit my faucet?

A. Yes, it fits all standard faucets. Additional adapters are provided for the 5% of households tha thave non-standard faucets / aerators.

Q: How do I know that it really works?

A: The filter has been independently tested and certified by several of the top independent water labs in the world to ensure it lives up to the stringent requirements of providing clean drinking water. See EU Conformity documents for more.

Q: Does it work with any tap water?

A: Ultra is designed for public piped tap water that is treated in accordance with WHO guidelines. It may also be used for most well water.

Your Title GoeQ: How long does each cartridge last?s Here

A: About 6 months based on usage. See MyTapp for more details. Some customers change every 3 months.

Q: How is Ultra better than other point of use water filters?

A: Most point of use water filters don’t filter/remove bacteria and viruses. Ultra is a 5-stage faucet water filter including:

  1. Strainer mesh – Filters out hair, sand, dirt and other impurities from the pipes for the filtered water.

  2. Coconut based Granular Activated Carbon – filters 70+ contaminants through adsorption including chlorine,

    pesticides, herbicides and more

  3. SIlver impregnated GAC – ensuring there is no bacteria growth inside the filter

  4. Ultrafiltration hollow fiber membrane with with pores of about 0.02 micron which means that nothing

larger than 0.02 micron will go through. This removes 99.9% of all bacteria and viruses. 30+ contaminants.

  5. Polypropylene cotton – filters out larger particles and ensures that the GAC is protected

To our knowledge there is no other faucet water filter or pitcher that uses similar technology as its brand new, expensive to make and complex to integrate into a small filter. We source the hollow fiber from a research institution in South Korea.

Q: How does the Holow Fiber Membrane work?

A: HFM (Hollow Fiber Membrane Technology) has evolved a lot in the last couple of years. It would not have been possible to develop the TAPP 1 UF filter even 5 years ago.

Here’s the description by our manufacturing partner:

Hollow-fiber membranes or HFM are micro-thin tubules (resembling long, hollow, spaghetti-like strands) with semi/porous walls. The tubules or fibers are about 1mm thick, with numerous 0.1 micron (or smaller) pores that allow water to flow freely through their fibrous walls. For perspective, these tiny 1.m tubules are approximately 1200-1600 times thinner than a human hair.
